FREE AMIGURUMI PATTERN: Blue Whale

amigurumi whale free pattern 1

PATRÓN EN ESPAÑOL

SCHEMA IN ITALIANO

Hello again!

I hope you are having a terrific summer! I’m currently enjoying London and tomorrow I will be attending the wedding of one of my bests friends in the lovely town on Kingston. It will be my first English wedding and I’m pretty excited!

As promised, here is the second free pattern of a sea creature! This time is an uber-cute amigurumi whale that fits in the palm of your hand (it’s about 11 cm long with a 3.5 mm hook).

I designed it as an amigurumi killer whale back in 2012, but I recently revised the pattern and decided to present it as a regular whale instead. I’ve changed the tail, and it’s the part that may bear some difficulty.

I will explain how to do it: you will have to crochet one fin of the tail, cut the yarn and crochet the second part. Instead of cutting the yarn again, insert your hook on any stitch of the first piece and keep crocheting regularly all the stitches. Then crochet all the stitches of the second fin and the two pieces will be joined. You may have to do a little sewing between them. If you still have any doubts, look at the pictures or search a video on how to join amigurumi pieces.

Have you grabbed yarn and hook? Let’s begin!

(Want one but don’t know how to crochet? Get one here: https://etsy.me/2Rur2SO)
